Ash dieback is a highly destructive disease of ash trees. Ash dieback can be found in most parts of the UK. The disease is particularly destructive of our native, common ash. Trees are infected in the summer by airborne spores from fruit bodies occurring on the central stalks of fallen leaves. Infections leads to dead branches throughout the crown. It is caused by fungus.
